Frankie Marie Williams

August 8, 1922 — August 21, 2017

Frankie Marie Williams went peacefully to be with the Lord on August 21, 2017. Visitation with family and friends will be held 6:00 – 8:00pm, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be at 10:30am, Saturday, August 26th at First Baptist Church of Navasota with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Richard Walters will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Frankie Marie Mims was born August 8th 1922 in Salado, Texas. She was the youngest of seven children of Etta Virginia and W.J. Mims. She attended grade school at the Salado Texas Amity School and graduated from Belton High School in Belton, Texas in 1940. Frankie proudly worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in both Galveston and Fort Worth as a Radio Telegraph Operator. On July 2, 1960 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple, Frankie married Searcy Williams, a Freight Agent for the Santa Fe Railroad. They resided in Navasota for over 38 years where she raised her two daughters, Sarah Anne and Susan Marie. Frankie owned and operated the Sears Catalog Store for 10 years on Washington Avenue in Navasota, Texas.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Navasota where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for over 25 years. Frankie is a former member of The Order of the Eastern Star of Navasota, Chapter 309 where she served as Worthy Matron. She moved to the Belton/Temple area later in life in order to be closer to her family and became a member of the Canyon Creek Baptist Church in Temple. She was very fond of the relationships she cultivated with family and friends and shared the loving compassion of Christ with all she encountered. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and knew the majority of the answers on Jeopardy in the afternoons.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Douglas Bell of Woodville, Texas and Susan and Dallas Koeppe of McKinney, Texas and by her loving grandchildren Addie, Sam, and Andrew Bell and Christina and Zachary Koeppe.
Serving as pallbearers are Douglas Bell, Samuel Bell, Andrew Bell, Dallas Koeppe, Zachary Koeppe and Jay Bakker.
Frankie was preceded in death by her husband Searcy Williams.
