Mr. John Homer Brewer Jr.

December 21, 1931 — August 14, 2016

Mr. John Homer Brewer, Jr., 84, of Victoria, Texas passed in peace Sunday, August 14th. A memorial service celebrating his extraordinary life will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, August 27th at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota, Texas with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Davenport Brewer, son Bruce Brewer; grandson Collin Brewer; older brother Roy Brewer, nephews David Brewer, Bobby and Jim Hunter, niece Shari Lynn Mc Spadden and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was a loving husband, exceptional and intelligent father and grandfather; graduate of Texas A&M University Mechanical Engineer, CEO and numerous other achievements. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mostly, he loved to do projects about the house. He was always into something and sometimes the something got into him. He’d heal up and get right back after it. His humor will be missed.
Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by his father, John H. Brewer, Sr., mother Lizzie Mae (Rice) Brewer; brother CW Brewer, Sr., and sister Ruby Brewer Hunter. In lieu of flowers please donate at https://www.chowan.edu/information/alumni-friends/ways-give
