Mrs. Alice Thane

Mrs. Alice Thane, 91 of Navasota, passed away Friday, November 6, at CHI St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, from 5:00-7:00PM at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 11, at 10:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Matthias Dinger officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Alice was born in Brenham, Texas on July 13, 1929. She was one of four children born to Herbert and Lena (Summerfield) Rodenbeck. She married Wilbert Henry Thane on April 3, 1948 and together they had a daughter, Donna. Alice was a devoted wife and mother, enjoying time with her family at home or travelling. She was a member of the VFW Post 4006 Ladies Auxilliary and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Thane is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Danny Kurten; sisters Virginia Tappe and Betty Schramm and niece Beth Ann Fields. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wilbert Thane and brother Franklin Rodenbeck.

Serving as pallbearers are Erica Fields, Joy Fields, Cynthia Kulak, Ricky Thane, Larry Joswiak and Clayton Thane.
