Mrs. Audrey McGee

Audrey Burns McGee, 85, of Navasota, passed away Monday, September 1st at her home. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 beginning at 8:00am at the funeral chapel, with the service following at 10:00am. Rev. Nate Lawrence will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Audrey was born March 31, 1929 in Corrigan, Texas to Reason and Florie (Stedman) Burns. She graduated from Iola High School and McKenzie Baldwin Business College and worked at J. C. Penney’s for many years. She met and married Bobbie McGee on September 1, 1949 and together they raised a son and a daughter.
Mrs. McGee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobbie and Sharon McGee of Navasota; daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Timothy Levy of Navasota; sister Ima Meryl McDuffie of Iola; sisters-in-law Leona Burns Bess of Iola, Patricia Burns of Florida, JoAnn Minsky of Anderson, and Bettye and Robert Rickter of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Benjamin Levy, Wesley & Tammy McGee, and Kellie McGee; great-grandchildren Amanda Berry, Junior and Lisa King and Kendall King; and great-great grandchildren Candace and Blake King.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobbie McGee, brothers Curtis, Robert, Loyd, and Tilmann; brothers-in-law Billy McDuffy and William Minsky.
