Mr. Bobby J. Borski
July 22, 1950 — April 10, 2021
Mr. Bobby J. Borski, 70, of Houston, passed away Saturday, April 10, at his home. Visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 14, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson with a Parish Rosary following at 7:00 PM lead by Deacon Russell Pasket. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 15, at 10:00 AM at the church with the Rev. Elias Lopez officiating. Rite of committal will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Bobby was born in Houston on July 22, 1950, to Harold J. & Dorothy Mae (Nowak) Borski. He was a lifetime resident of Houston, graduating from John H Reagan High School in 1969. After graduation he joined the US Marine Reserves where he was a Sergeant from 1971 to 1976.
He was a carpenter by trade and retired from the University of Houston from their maintenance department in 2015. His true passion was the outdoors and taking pictures of wildlife. He really had an eye for capturing the beauty in everything through photography especially in his travels to Alaska, Montana and various deer hunting trips with his brothers, nephews and friends.
Bobby was an avid deer hunter and took great pride is being a great shot. He recently killed a 12 point buck on his brothers ranch in Gonzales, TX that he was very proud of and loved to tell hunting stories to everyone he met. He had fond memories of meeting new people in small cafes and feed stores across Texas.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2917 and enjoyed volunteering his time and talents to the council.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include brothers, Nick Nowak and wife Michelle of Houston, Rick Nowak of Houston, Gary Borski and wife Sheryl of Navaota, and Darrell Borski and wife Harriet of Anderson; sister, Kim Vincent and husband Randy of Bellville; nephews, David Borski and wife Jesslyn of Anderson, Matthew Borski and wife Kirby of Anderson, and Brandon Borski and wife Kary of Anderson; nieces, Jillian Ruby and husband JD of Wimberly, Emily Mendiola and husband Adrian of San Antonio, Kelly Zavala and husband Robert, and Maegan Saverline and husband Chris. Along with numerous great nieces and nephews he enjoyed as well.
Serving as pallbearers are John Currier, JD Ruby, Brandon Borski, David Borski, Matthew Borski, and Eddie Florian.
