Carey Charles "Buggy" Small

October 11, 1962 - August 29, 2021

Mr. Carey Charles "Buggy" Small, 58 of Bryan, passed away Sunday, August 29th in a motorcycle accident in Bryan. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 4th at Nobles Funeral Chapel with visitation beginning one hour prior at 10:00 am. Rev. Johnny Gierisch will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Charles was born October 11, 1962 in Bryan, Texas to Carey Charles Small, Sr. and Lavonda Mae (Roberts) Small. He was a man of many talents and worked numerous jobs throughout his life, including the oilfield, landscaping, printing and water wells. He tended to get bored easily and would move on to the next challenge. He lived everyday to the fullest, believing the only way was the fast lane. Charles would do anything for anyone, and although he came across as a tough guy, deep down he was very soft-hearted. If you had the opportunity to meet him and he liked you, you had a friend for life and he would have moved mountains for you. He loved music, from rock and roll to country - wherever he was, whatever he was doing, music was playing. He loved motorcyles and had recently got the Harley Davidson of his dreams. His latest project was getting everything ready in his man cave for football season. He was counting the days for the Texas Aggies to begin playing this season. He was also a huge Green Bay Packers fan and he enjoyed watching wrestling. Charles loved to barbeque and always prepared a feast. He was a talented wood-worker and enjoyed making crosses. A Christian with his faith in God tucked closely to his heart, he would often say that "Me and the Lord got it going on". He loved animals and his dogs were his constant companions. It wasn't unusual to see him sipping on his favorite adult beverage, Crown Royal Vanilla mixed with creme soda, while telling anyone within earshot "if I died today, I'd die a happy man". "Buggy" leaves behind his loving wife of more than 20 years, Vanessa Nobles; mother Lavonda Halley; sisters Linda Roberson, Lorie Dillon, Debbie Salter (Carl Fincher), Brenda Hodnett, Charlene Small, Shawn Daring, Kay Small (Tim Hromcik) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts uncles and friends. Preceding him in death were his grandparents; father ; nephew Gene Roberson; in-laws Irving & Evelyn Nobles and his precious fur babies, Prissy and Bo. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution one of the following organizations close to his heart. Toys For Tots Christmas Toy Drive at toysfortots.org or the Aggieland Humane Society. You are invited to leave kind words and fond memories at www.noblesfuneral.com.
