Mrs. Carol Jean Nobles

August 28, 1945 — June 28, 2017

Mrs. Carol Jean Nobles, 71 of Navasota passed away Wednesday, June 28th at her home. Visitation with family and friends will be held Friday, June 30th from 5:00 - 7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be at First Baptist Church of Navasota on Saturday, July 1st at 11:00am with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Larrabee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Carol was born August 28, 1945 in Navasota, Texas to Johnnie and Emma Lou (Bryan) Falco. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Elementary Education in 1967. During her long teaching career spanning over 35 years, she taught third grade and then moved to junior high English. She finished her career teaching theater arts. She was also involved in many extra-curricular activities at school. She was a cheer sponsor, coached various UIL drama competitions including One-Act Play and enjoyed directing many plays and talent shows at the junior high level. Carol was an active member of First Baptist Church of Navasota and loved serving in any way needed. She especially enjoyed working with children and was a Vacation Bible School volunteer for many years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and she enjoyed attending their many activities and supporting them any way she could.

She is survived by her husband Preston "Skip" Nobles of Navasota, daughters and sons-in-law Melanie and Harold Reeves of Navasota and Michelle and Paul Sechelski of Galveston; brother and sister-in-law Johnny and Darci Falco of Houston and grandchildren Trey Reeves of College Station and Emmalee Reeves of Navasota.

Serving as pallbearers are Paul Sechelski, Harold Reeves, Jr., Trey Reeves, Harold Reeves, Sr., Allen Kollby and Matt Moore.

Mrs. Nobles was preceeded in death by her parents Johnnie and Emma Lou Falco. The family would like to express their gratitude to Susan and all of the caregivers with Encompass Hospice for taking such good are of Carol.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution be made in her memory to First Baptist Church of Navasota.
