Mrs. Christine Abke, 84, of Spring and formerly of Navasota passed away Friday, August 2, 2013, at St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 6th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Christine was born on February 25, 1929, in Grimes County, Texas the daughter of Fritz and Katy (Lenz) Hemann.

Mrs. Abke was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin Abke; sisters, Hilda Abke, Erdine Lauter, Ida Marzahn; brother, Herbert Hemann.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Abke of Spring; Carol & Damon Ditta of Tulsa, OK and Kimberely & Glenn Locke of Elgin; sons, Johnny & Sheryle Abke of Splendora, Rickie & Jean Abke of New Caney, Gary & Denise Abke of Palestine, Rodney & Sandy Abke of Cleveland and Dennis & Cheryl Abke of Porter; sister, Sophie Wehmeier of White Hall; sister-in-law, Ivy Dell Hemann of Navasota; grandchildren, Susan, Eric, Valerie, Brittany Rachel, Shaun, Amanda, Jeffrey, Morgan' Samantha, Wendy and Patrick; great grandchildren, Amber, Austin, Brayden, Abbie and Anthony; great-great grandchild, Paislee.

Serving as pallbearers are Shaun Abke, Eric Abke, Jeffrey Ditta, and Patrick Locke. Honorary pallbearer is Paislee
