Carl “Dane” Danford, 61, of Navasota, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at Oakland Cemetery on Saturday, June 21st at 10:00am. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at the Whitehall Community Center at 12:00 noon on Sunday, June 22nd. Rev. Clyde Larrabee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Dane was born on December 2, 1952 in Bay City, Texas to Carl and Nina (Robinson) Danford. He is survived by his parents, Nina and Donald Lonis of Richmond, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Chris Rotello of Navasota; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Anna Danford of East Bernard; stepson Cody Stanley of Edna; a sister, Dralyn Danford Zwahr of College Station; nephews Shawn French, Elliot French and Will French; three grandchildren, Clay Rotello, Abigail Danford and Sophia Danford; close friends Michael Kurten, Michael Serress and family, Coon White, Jerry Stephens and family, Von Herring and family, all of White Hall; Jason Rosipal and family of Iola, Jen Stephenson and family of Anderson, Dr. Ajay Mitter and family of College Station, Kenny Shaw and family of West Columbia, Marcus Ward of Brazoria, Joe Bill Weathers and family of Brazoria and all members of the White Hall Volunteer Fire Department; as well as his best friend and faithful companion, his dog “Spur”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Danford.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider at donation to the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department, Hospice Brazos Valley or the American Cancer Society.
