Mrs. Dorothy Fuqua

Dorothy Mae (Duff) Beasley Fuqua, 91 of Huntsville passed away Saturday, January 27th at Ellisor Home Health Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 31st at Erwin Cemetery in the Piedmont Community near Anderson. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Dorothy was born April 25, 1926 in Livingston, Texas to Charles Duff and Maggie Mercer Duff. She worked as administrative support in the healthcare industry before retiring. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. Dorothy loved to cook, spend time outdoors and enjoyed going fishing in her younger years. She was also an amateur HAM radio operator.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra Faye and Michael Hopson; sons and daughters-in-law Larry Dale and Linda Andrews and Jake, Jr., and Glenda Fuqua; brother and sister-in-law Freddy and Jessie Duff; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; and brothers James, Leroy and Gene Duff.
