Evelyn Hemann

November 16, 1929 — July 11, 2013

Evelyn E. Hemann, 83, of College Station, passed away at the Bluebonnet House in College Station, Thursday, July 11, 2013. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 15th from 5:00-7:00pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday at 10:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Donald Kasper offciating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Hemann was born November 16, 1929, in Anderson, TX, the daughter of Henry & Emma (Emshoff) Homeyer. Evelyn was then baptized on December 26, 1929, in Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson and was later confirmed in Caldwell. She attended Anderson schools before marrying Robert Hemann on November 29, 1947, at Salem Lutheran Church in White Hall. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she participated in the Ladies Aide, a member of the VFW Post 4006 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as President, and was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Grimes Memorial Hospital. Evelyn enjoyed supporting school activities such as the PTA and Rattler Booster Club for her children and grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband; sisters, Selma Nutsch, Hattie Prieve, and Alberta Watson; and brother, Hubert Homeyer.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Hemann and wife Margaret and Randy Hemann and wife Nina, all of College Station; grandchildren, Kristi Hemann Smith and husband Dale, Brad Hemann, and Brandi Pinter Galindo and husband Ardy, all of College Station; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Smith, Luke Smith, and Aiden Galindo; and sister-in-law, Erna Hemann of Navasota.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Nobles, Hal Imhoff, Nelson Randermann, Clell Goodson, Donnie Watson, and Billy Homeyer.
