Freddie Ratliff, 66, of Iola passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in College Station on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 23rd at Nobles Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Clyde Larrabee will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Freddie was born in San Saba, Texas to Robert Lee and Ethel Dannheim Ratliff on July 11, 1947. He served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing and barbequing for friends and family and cherished spending time with both. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Iola; daughters and sons-in-law Tammie and William Olmsted of Iola and Denise and Michael Bragg of Kingwood; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Teri Thompson of Caldwell; sisters and brothers-in-law Linda Sorenson of Merridian, Pat and Richard Bain of San Angelo and Dorothy Hatley of Kerrville; grandchildren Kerry Ann Thompson, Katie Tram, Kara Bragg, Kassi Bragg, Jake Scott, Samantha Olmsted and Travis Bragg; a great-granddaughter, Andie Moore; and his beloved dog, Baby.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sonny, Ray and Clifford; sisters Lois, Clara, Faye and Marie.
Serving as pallbearers are Floyd Sparks of Atascosita, Troy Dannheim of Carlos, Jake Scott of Ft. Worth, Gary and Michael Hatley of Allen, Donnie Ratliff of Temple and Lane Sorenson of Cransfill Gap.
