Mr. James W. Gardner

August 28, 1925 - May 8, 2018

Mr. James W. Gardner, 92 of Navasota, passed away Tuesday, May 8th at his home. Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, May 10th from 5:00-7:00PM at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11th at 11:00AM also at the funeral home with the Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. James was born on August 28, 1925, in Elgin, TX, to Allie & Bessie (Pate) Gardner. He served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a master carpenter. He and his wife, Marie, raised 3 children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie H. Gardner. Mr. Gardner is survived by his children, Donna G. McShan and husband Mark, Karren McCleskey, and James R. Gardner and fiancee Tammy Melo; grandchildren, John David McCleskey, Mark S. McShan II, Michael J.P. McShan, and Tonya Gardner; and great-granddaughter, Angelique Mugabo. Serving as pallbearers are Joey Malek, Dennis Sechelski, Paul Malek, Michael J.P. McShan, Mark S. McShan II, and John David McCleskey.
