Lillie Laverda Peters, 75, of Washington died at Grimes St. Joseph Hospital Saturday, September 28, 2013. Visitation will be Monday, September 30th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 1st at 1:00 p.m. at Friedens Church of Washington UCC with interment to follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Greg Felder officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Lillie was born on December 4, 1937, the daughter of Hank Smith Watkins and Lena (Bailey) Watkins in Harlingen, Texas. Mrs. Peters is survived by her husband, Milton Peters of Washington; daughter, Jessica Johnson and her husband Marc of Navasota; sons, Johnnie L. Olson and his wife Theresa of Hockley, Jimmy D. Olson and his wife Debra of Spring, Jerry A. Olson of Houston, Duane Peters and his wife Teresa of Washington; sisters, Frances White and her husband Russell of Washington, Lois Barclay and her husband Red, Louise Lucas and Lassie Rodgers; brothers, Donald Watkins and his wife Janice of Farmersville, Bailey Watkins of Farmersville, James Watkins and his wife Sandra of Farmersville, Rayford Watkins, Lawrence Watkins and S.J. Watkins; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Johnson and Marc Johnson both of Navasota, Shawn Drake of Conroe, Jerry Olson of Houston, Jimmy Olson of Spring and Johnnie Olson of Hockley.
