Mr. Manuel P. Garcia, Jr.

August 12, 1947 - March 1, 2016

Manuel P. Garcia, Jr., 68, of Plantersville passed away Tuesday at his home. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 2:00 – 6:00pm, Friday, March 4th at Nobles Funeral Chapel, with a service celebrating his life beginning at 6:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Manuel was born on August 12, 1947 in Alief Texas to Manuel Garcia, Sr., and Secundina (Perez) Garcia. He joined the U. S. Army and proudly served the country he loved. He married Jesusa Pena Garcia on September 4, 1966 in Sugarland, Texas and together they had five children. Manuel is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Jesusa; daughters Patricia Garcia of Jacksonville, Florida, Barbara Harvey of Johns Creek, Georgia, Reyna Garcia of Navasota and Catherina Garcia of Plantersville; sisters and brothers-in-law Lucy and Manuel Medina, Carolina and Daniel Miranda and Delia Wheeler; brothers and sisters-in-law Alfredo and Maria Elena Garcia, Candelario Garcia, Joe and Rosa Garcia and Jesse Garcia; Grandchildren Brian Garza, Brandon Garza, Delfino Perez, Felisha Perez, James Garcia, Tierra Clark, Ashleigh Harvey, Kayla Harvey, Paul Harvey, Ryan Garcia, Dylan Garcia, Aleq Garcia, Kolby Parks, Jastin Goldston and Talley Goldston; great-grandchildren Jaden, Kane, Izabella, Gabriella, Landon, Logan, Lincoln, Aniah, Dominic, Emelia, Rileigh, Elijah, Jayslin and Alexandrew. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Manuel Garcia, III., Robert Imhoff, grandson, son-in-law Ronald Parks and brother Daniel Garcia.
