Regina Bates

April 15, 1958 - March 14, 2021

Regina Bates, 62 of Navasota, passed away Sunday, March 14th at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:30pm, Thursday, March 18th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Visitation with family and friends will begin two hours prior to the service at 12:30 pm. Pastor Henry Sanders and Rev. James Mable will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Regina was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on April 15, 1958 to Johnny and Lois Johnson. She was raised by her uncle and his wife, Otto and Margaret Bates. After high school, Regina obtained her BS from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and went on to further her education working toward her Masters in Pschycology. Her dream was to eventually open and manage a shelter for abused women. She was also a gifted pianist and often played for her church home in Arkansas. She is survived by a half-sister Betty Horn and husband, Carl; cousins Nita Thorton, Stacy and Johnny Graves and Ronnie Graves; as well as several friends and staff at Golden Creek Healthcare who adored her spunk and spit-fire personality. She was preceded in death by her parents. You are invited to leave kind words and fond memories at www.noblesfuneral.com.
