Mrs. Ruth Elaine (Boehm) Homeyer

Mrs. Ruth Elaine (Boehm) Homeyer, 82 of Navasota, passed away Wednesday, May 29th at CHI St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan. Visitation with family and friends will be held Sunday, June 2nd from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 3rd at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota with interment following in Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Donald Kasper will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Ruth was born in Navasaota on September 11, 1936 to Gus and Sophie (Miller) Boehm. She married Fred William Homeyer September 29, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Anderson and together they raised two sons. Ruth had a true servants heart, and enjoyed taking care of others. She possessed a selfless love for her family, was a devoted wife and mother and was happiest when spending time with her family. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and teaching her granddaughters age old family recipes. She was selfless, caring and had a genuine, heartfelt desire to see others happy. Ruth never passed up the opportunity to tell those she loved what they meant to her.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Homeyer, sons Ken Homeyer and wife Amy of Arlington and Kevin Homeyer and life partner Carmen Imhoff of Navasota; brother and sisters-in-law Bill and Gloria Boehm of Anderson, Pauline Boehm of Navasota and Joyce Boehm of Anderson; and granddaughters Sydnee and Molly Homeyer.

Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Boehm of Manvel, Mark Alsup of Beaumont, Nathan Stansbury of Beaumont, Clell Goodson of Navasota, Russell Bond of Austin and Fred Heer of Manvel.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Esther Schaefer, Lucille Schaefer, Gertrude Hilley, Emmett Boehm, Edward Boehm, Maeola Roese, Leonard Boehm, Erna Hemann and Oris Boehm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in her name be made to Trinity Lutheran Building Fund; 1530 E. Washington Ave., Navasota, TX 77868.
