Mr. Samuel Earl Sledge, 60, of Anderson passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at his residence. Memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Oakland Cemetery at Madeley Chapel.
Samuel was born in Navasota on March 10, 1953, the son of John Wiley Sledge and Mary Dorothy (Nobles) Sledge. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He married Alleen Berger on October 28, 2007 in Washington.
Mr. Sledge was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Roy Terrell Gressett; sister, Jackie Miller; brother, Terry Lynn Gressett.
He is survived by his wife, Alleen K. Sledge of Navasota; daughter, Michelle Perkins and her husband Bobby; sisters, Betty Koronka, Louise Bradshaw and her husband Homer; brothers, Dan Sledge,and John Sledge; sister-in-law, Debbie Sledge; grandchildren, Tasha, Brittney, Bobby and Diane.
