Mr. William John Grierson Jr.

Mr. William John Grierson, Jr., 59 of Hempstead, passed away Friday, February 21st, 2020. Funeral services will be celebrated Wedneday, February 26th at 10:00 am at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota with Rev. Steve Atwood officiating. A private interment will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

John was born in Houston, Texas on November 19, 1960 to Jean & William Grierson, Sr. He later moved to Georgia where he met Sandi Alton. The couple married in Talbotton, Georgia on February 9, 1991. They eventually moved back to Texas where he owned and operated his construction company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors and he is best remembered as a hard worker that loved his family and his friends, but most importantly he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Sandi Grierson of Hempstead; mother Jean Grierson of Columbus, Georgia; son Justin Ryan Grierson of Hempstead; daughter Christy Smith Tooley of Columbus, Georgia; sisters, Fran Cheatham of Columbus, Georgia and Debbie Grierson of Houston; and granddaughters, Shaylin Black and Natalie Dean Tooley.

Serving as pallbearers are James Butler, Justin Grierson, Will White, Bryant White, Jason Clements, Michael Clements and Waylon White.

He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Rebekah Grierson.
