Alice Jo Lantz

Alice Lantz, 85, of Navasota, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Brazos County surrounded by her loving family. Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Grimes County Expo Center “Go Texan” building from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Cremation services are in the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Alice was born in Lelia Lake (Donley County), Texas, on Friday, June 14, 1940, to her parents Joe and Alice Fetters Matthews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Alice; father of her children, John Lantz; her siblings, Renee Cross, Margie Sanders, Gertrude Hatfield, Beatrice Bramblett, Brian Hancock Jr., Jimmy Ray Fetters, Jack Matthews, Jerry Matthews, and David Matthews.

Her survivors are her son Ricky and wife Karen Fetters; her daughters, Livia and husband Mike Ybarra, and Johnnie Lantz and husband Tim Jones; her grandchildren, John, Chris, Alicia, Mike III, Coushatta, Jesse Jr., TJ, Cheyenne, Shelly, Richard, Sheryl, and Sherry; many great grandchildren; her sisters, Janie Reisert and Leatha Jo Mitchell; her brothers, Jim Rob Hancock and Haskell Matthews; and many close friends.
