Andrew was born on Wednesday, May 4, 1938, in Stoneham, Texas, to Stanley “Stash” Marion Wishkoski and Frances Agnes Bohack. He was one of fourteen children in a large and loving family. On June 13, 1964, Andrew married the love of his life, Frances Ann Filar, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond, Texas. Together, they were blessed with two children, Ronnie and Diane.
Andrew was a dedicated welder throughout his life, known for his strong work ethic and steady hands. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life — spending time with friends, playing dominoes, hunting deer, dove, and quail, and caring for his cattle. He also loved to dance to Polish music, especially when it was performed by Vrazel’s Polka Band.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 61 years, Frances Wishkoski; son: Ronnie Wishkoski; daughter: Diane Hopmann and husband, Troy; brothers: George Wishkoski and wife, Janie, and Harold Wishkoski and wife, Carol; sister: Louise McDaniel; grandchildren: Wendy Boone and husband, Tim, Chelsea Hopmann, and Tyler Hopmann; great-grandchild: Colton Boone.
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents, Stash and Frances Wishkoski; and siblings: Rubin Wishkoski, Margaret Novakoski, Jacob Wishkoski, Chester Wishkoski, Harold Mae Kaminski, Clifford Wishkoski, Lillian “Lilly” Wishkoski, Earnice Mazyn, Theresa Keelin, and Mary Mazyn.
Honoring the life of Andrew as Pallbearers are Ronnie Wishkoski, Troy Hopmann, Tyler Hopmann, Marvin Wishkoski, Mike Wetuski, and Bo Imhoff.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Brazos Valley Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Andrew. A special thank you goes to his dedicated caregivers — Nurse Bay, Jo Ann, Judy, and Tina — for their kindness, support, and devotion during his time of need.
