Ann Weaks

April 1, 1947 — February 11, 2026

Navasota

Wilma Ann Harrington Weaks, 78, of Navasota, Texas, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with her family by her side.

Ann was born in Navasota on April 1, 1947, to the late James Rayburn and Lillian Harrington. She attended Navasota High School and graduated in 1965. Ann always loved people in the community and being around others. She first opened Jimmy’s Drive In and later devoted her time to owning The Ice House where everyone in town hung out.

She continued her career by working many years at the prison as a guard. Her passion for aiding others led her to the Police Academy where she graduated and decided to run for Grimes County Constable of Precinct 3 & 4 and was elected by her community. She took great honor in serving as Constable and wore her badge with pride. She loved to serve others and was always willing to help in any way she could. Ann proudly served as constable, one of her greatest accomplishments, for 19 years until her health would no longer allow. When she wasn’t in her constable uniform you would find her in a purple shirt and red lipstick. In her free time, Ann loved fellowship, having friends over to her home and working in her flower beds. She enjoyed her time spent with her friends from the class of 1965 enjoying their birthday club dinners to looking forward to class reunions every five years. She was a woman of faith, deep love and strength.

Ann lived for her family, especially her two sons Slade and Clay. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was the youngest of four siblings who she adored and cherished the time she got to spend with them. She influenced the lives of many with her warm heart, huge personality, loud voice, contagious laugh and unconditional love.

Ann is survived by her sons, Slade Weaks (Liz) and Clay Weaks (Lisa); grandchildren, Leyton, Collin, Tyler, Layla, Peyton and Heston; brother/sister in laws Joe Imhoff and Michele Harrington. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rayburn and Lillian Harrington; sisters, Gay Imhoff and Dell Seale and brother, Jimboy Harrington.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. both at First Baptist Church Navasota with Pastor Joe Hejl officiating. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Anderson.
