In Loving Memory of Augustina Ostigin Arnold, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister,

Augustina Arnold, 83, of Houston, and formerly of Navasota, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Family and friends are invited to visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Navasota, with Reverend David Michael Moses officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Augustina Ostigin Arnold, was a woman full of love, laughter, and life. There was never a dull moment when she was around. She was always ready for an adventure, often hopping in the car just to go for a ride.

Her heart and her home were always open to anyone who needed her; she kept everyone around her smiling. She could also be a little firecracker — full of spirit and determination. She worked hard for what she had. Even when we told her to take it easy, she wouldn’t hear it. She’d just laugh, wave us off, and go right back to working in the yard or tinkering around the house. That was just her, she didn’t know how to slow down, and she wouldn’t have wanted to.

Everything made her laugh, even something as simple as the word “pudding.” Her great-grandkids brought her endless joy, always on her mind and in her heart.

Augustina was deeply loved and cared for, more than words can express. Her laughter, strength, and spirit will forever live on in those who were lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Collins, and son-in-law, Don Collins; her grandchildren Kate Porter-Collins, Augustina Collins, Emma Bedingfield, and Ellanor Collins; her great-grandchildren Lyra Bedingfield, George Bedingfield, Avellana Rodriguez, Josefina Collins; and her sister, Eva Ostigin.
