Bridget Grace Young, 53, of Anderson, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston. A graveside service celebrating Bridget’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Smith Floyd Family Cemetery on Grimes County Road 207 near Plantersville, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Nobles Chapel.

Bridget was born on May 9, 1973, in Houston, Texas, to Donald Curtis Young and Charlene Hyman Young. She was raised with a deep appreciation for hard work, family, and serving others values that remained at the center of her life.

Following high school, Bridget began her career with Thompson Ford in Navasota as a receptionist. She later served Grimes County as an Executive Secretary for 14 years at Road & Bridge, where she was respected for her dedication, professionalism, and unwavering work ethic.

Bridget was married for 24 years and was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Callie Grace Bradley Flynn and Taylor Ray Bradley. Her greatest joy was being their mother. She was an active 4-H member in her youth and later became a devoted 4-H mom, proudly supporting Callie and Taylor in all of their endeavors.

Never one to shy away from hard work, Bridget dreamed of owning her own flower shop and proudly made that dream a reality with Forever Young Flowers & Gifts. She also loved the country life and could often be found on a tractor, repairing fences, hauling hay, or chasing stray calves back through the fence. She especially treasured working alongside her brother, Brandon, at BC Young Painters & Contracting, creating memories they both cherished.

Some of Bridget’s happiest moments were spent fishing with her father at Freeport and Surfside Beach. Those trips became treasured family traditions, and her daughters grew to love fishing just as much. If Bridget had a favorite place in the world, it was beside her daddy, casting a line and enjoying the peace of the water.

In 2014, Bridget pursued another lifelong goal by earning her Paramedic certification. She began serving her community with Allegiance EMS in 2015, where her compassion, strength, and desire to help others touched countless lives.

In 2015, Bridget welcomed her beloved granddaughter, Summerlynn Grace Flynn, into the world. Summerlynn was the light of her life and brought her immeasurable joy. Bridget adored every moment she spent with her and was immensely proud to be her grandmother.

Those who knew Bridget knew she had a heart of gold. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or put the needs of others before her own. Even in passing, her generous spirit lives on through her decision to be an organ donor, giving the gift of life and hope to others.

Bridget was preceded in death by her father, Donald Curtis Young.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving mother, Charlene Hyman Young; her daughters, Callie Grace Bradley Flynn and her husband, Sean Flynn, and Taylor Ray Bradley; her brother, Brandon Young, and his wife, Stephanie Young; her treasured granddaughter, Summerlynn Grace Flynn; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness, generosity, and love.

Bridget’s life was defined by hard work, unwavering love for her family, a servant’s heart, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, she will never be forgotten.
