Danita Gayle Leasure Hutto

Danita Gayle Leasure Hutto, 68, of College Station, Texas died on Saturday, June 21, 2025, after a lengthy illness, in College Station. No public funeral service will be held as per Danita’s request. Cremation services are in the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Danita was born to Earl and Elsie Florine Berry Leasure, in Houston, Texas. Danita graduated from M.B. Smiley High School in Houston. She spent several years working at Chevron Headquarters of Houston. She married Randy Hutto on October 11, 1991, in Houston. Together they were blessed with a son in this marriage, Jacob Peyton Hutto. Danita’s life was full of joy at the birth of Jacob.

This small family of Danita, Randy, and Jacob moved to Odessa, Texas to care for her mother and follow Randy’s job. She also worked as a bookkeeper for various small businesses in Odessa. After the death of her mother, Elsie Leasure, they moved to Taylor, Texas and eventually back to the Houston area. Danita fought a lengthy medical battle, and despite the pain in losing her battle. We are at peace knowing her suffering has ended. Our Danita is reunited with her mother and father, whom she deeply admired; her brother; and many others who have gone home before her. Her bright smile and larger than life laughter always filled up the room even when she didn’t want to be the center of attention.

Her parents, her sister Lavonna Sue Leasure Priest, and her brother Richard Wayne Leasure Sr., all precede Danita in death.

Danita is survived by her husband of 33 years, Randy Lynn Hutto; her son Jacob Hutto; her brother Kenneth Earl and wife Sue Leasure; nephews Lance Edwards and wife Ashley, Richard Wayne Leasure, Jr., Kevin Douglas Leasure; niece Kelly Suzanne Leasure; great nephew Jaden Reyes and great niece Aqua Jade Leasure.
