Elizabeth "Libby" Cook Ashburn

Elizabeth Cook (Libby) Ashburn, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 22, at 10:00 AM in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Tommy Holidy and her niece, Lesley A. Holidy of Belton, TX, and her nephew, Dale M. Holidy and wife Kristy of Houston, TX; her sisters, Laura A. Duckworth of Bryan/College Station, TX, and Anne Ashburn Leazar and her husband Brian of Sachse, TX.

Also her grandnieces and grandnephews: Rett and Kristy Holidy's daughter, Abigail Grace.

Laura’s children and their children: Courtney and Orion Fitzgerald and their children, Aidan and Abigail; Rebecca and Marc Williams and their children, Carson Bouliane, Troop Giles and Ethan Williams; and Ike and Kelly Duckworth and their children, Tessa and Ellie.

Anne and Brian’s children, Paul and their daughter, Christine and her husband, John Humphrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Seaborn (Ike) Ashburn, III and Myra McKinney Ashburn; her sister Grace Ann Marett Holidy.
