He was a dedicated worker and provided well for his family. He enjoyed vacationing with his wife, especially to Africa. They traveled extensively to a number of locations, nationally and internationally. Ernie enjoyed eating his favorite meals, especially delicious steaks and a fabulous Chicago styled pizza.

Ernie had a heart to serve others. He volunteered for many years in various organizations. He also shared that love with his family as they gave back to the community and several organizations with enthusiasm and devotion. Ernie was a man who sought a relationship with God later in life. He was committed to growing and strengthening that relationship and his faith in God.
