Montgomery

Glenn Alan Mock was born on July 6, 1957, in Navasota, Texas, to Joe Cliff and Elizabeth Mock. He passed away peacefully at his home in Dobbin, Texas, on July 18, 2025. A viewing will be held from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m., followed by a public graveside service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Griffith Family Cemetery, located at 3815 FM 1486 South in Montgomery, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Glenn graduated from Magnolia High School and went on to attend Texas A&M University, where he majored in Animal Husbandry and Animal Science. Following college, he began his career as a Wildlife Manager for a private game ranch in Montgomery, Texas.

After retiring in the early 2000’s, Glenn enjoyed a quieter life filled with the simple pleasures he loved most- baling hay, fishing and hunting. He will be remembered for his deep knowledge of the land, his quiet strength, and the love he had for the outdoors.

When he wasn't outdoors, Glenn could often be found in the kitchen cooking big breakfasts for his kids or playing guitar. He was known by many names, but none more meaningful to him than “Pop” and “Pawpaw.”

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Cliff and Elizabeth Mock. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Sikes, her husband Ryan, and their daughter; his son, Michael Mock, his wife Courtney, and their two daughters. He is also survived by his lifelong friend, Russell Griffith.

Glenn will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Serving as pallbearers are Josh Griffith, Rusty Griffith, Reed Griffith, Faron Hazelwood, Dustin StClair, Larry Plocheck, and Greg Mock. Honorary pallbearers are Russell Griffith and Bob Watson. Reverend Father Edward C. Kucera, Jr. will officiate.

In lieu of flowers family kindly requests that donations be made to Texas FFA in memory of Glenn, TexasFFA.org.
