Gregory Todd Payne

Gregory Todd Payne, aged 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Houston, Texas, on October 29, 2026, resting comfortably in his favorite spot. Born on October 16, 1965, in San Jose, California, Greg brought a vibrant energy and immense joy to the lives of everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Payne, and his brother, David Payne.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 26 years, Donna Deyo; his mother, Judy Payne; his brother, Jeff Payne; his children, Michael Payne, DJ Deyo, and Hunter Deyo; and his beloved grandsons, Alexander and Will Deyo.

Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence brought laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories to those fortunate enough to know him. A man of diverse passions who knew how to truly enjoy life, he was a thrill-seeker and theme park enthusiast who loved the rush of a great ride. Yet, he was equally captivated by geography and the vast beauty of our National Parks. He found profound peace in nature—whether he was exploring these magnificent landscapes, casting a line on a quiet fishing trip, or spending hours tending to his beautiful garden. Greg was also a talented amateur chef who loved nothing more than crafting delicious meals and sharing his culinary creations. His home was always filled with warmth, good food, and the joyful presence of his many loving pets, whom he adored.

Greg’s life was a reminder that happiness can be found in the things we love, the laughter we share, and the people who make our lives meaningful. Though his passing leaves a space that can never truly be filled, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of his family and friends, continuing to bring comfort and smiles to those who loved him. His life was filled with moments that will continue to bring smiles, stories that will be told for years to come, and a love that will never be forgotten.

He will be remembered with love, missed beyond words, and cherished always.

A Celebration of Life in Greg's honor will be held on November 14, 2026 from 02:00 - 04:00 PM at Greg and Donna's residence.
