Jerry Lynn Stephens

Jerry Lynn Stephens, 81, of Anderson, passed October 3, 2026, in College Station. Cremation services are through Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Jerry was born in Crockett, Texas on February 20, 1945, to James Smith and Iva Baker Smith. He met and later married his wife, Phyllis Chavous Stephens on June 3rd, 1966. To this union, two beautiful children were born: Leslie Stephens and Kevin Stephens. Jerry was a lover of the outdoors and would often go hunting and fishing. In his shop, he could often be found sitting and chatting with friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, frequently taking the time to watch and support his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.

Jerry was preceded in death by both his parents, James Smith and Iva Baker Smith; son, Kevin Stephens; siblings Jesse Stephens, Paula Jones, and Dyanna Irizarry; grand-daughter Lainee Elizabeth Stephens; his father and mother-in-law, George & Brunie Chavous; and his brother-in-law, Don Harrison.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Phyllis Stephens; daughter, Leslie Stephens; sister, Marylin Harrison; grandchildren, Haley Lynn Carr and husband Chase Carr, Kynlee Stephens, and Kagan Stephens; great-grandchild, Gracelyn Elizabeth Carr; daughter-in-law, Marti Stephens; sister-in-law, Wanda Stephens; sisters-and-brothers-in-law Cheryl & Roger Finley and Nancy & Pete Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
