Joe Cecil Krob, 80, of Navasota, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Joe was born on November 19, 1945, to Frank Elmer Krob and Pauline Pauley. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, a service he held close to his heart and spoke of with great pride throughout his life.
Joe enjoyed visiting with family, NASCAR racing, and spending time outdoors. He found peace in gardening, growing flowers, and was a member of the local garden club. He also loved hunting of all kinds, especially elk and pheasant hunting with his brothers and his oldest son, Tony (Anthony), creating many happy memories that remain meaningful to his family.
Those who knew Joe understood that he was a man shaped by his experiences. While life brought its share of challenges, Joe had a softer side that showed itself in quieter ways. He was kind to many, and to those who came to know him later in life, he often showed warmth, sweetness, and a gentle presence.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Elmer Krob and Pauline Pauley; his brothers, Jerald Krob, Larry Krob, and Kenny Krob; his sister, LeAnn Krob; and his sister-in-law, Cheryl Krob (Bruce).
He is survived by his children: Christal Harcourt and husband, Curt; Anthony (Tony) Krob and wife, Irma; Kimberly Ridgeway and husband, Ronnie; Stephanie Jones and husband, Brice; and Matthew Krob.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chelsea, Chaylea, Brayden, Aubrey, Jayden, Kristen, Joshua, Ashley, and Michael; several great-grandchildren; his brother, Bruce Krob; sisters-in-law Nancy (Jerald) and Sherry (Kenny); along with extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. Pastor Charles Tompkins and Pastor Lupe Ybarra will share scripture and prayer. Services are under the care and direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Joe’s life was one of many chapters, and his story will live on through the memories held by those who knew him. May he now find eternal rest and peace in God’s loving arms.
