It is with great sorrow that we are here today to celebrate the life of Margaret Wade. Margaret was a God-fearing Christian who was ready to meet her maker. She peacefully gained her wings on Thursday, December 15, with her daughters and granddaughter by her side. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 19, at 2:00 PM in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Lupe Ybarra officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Margaret Marie (Zickuhr) Wade was born on March 18, 1947, to Fredrick Jacob Zickuhr and Amelia Magdelena Zickuhr in Palacious, TX. At the age of 17, she fell in love with David Thomas Wade and later married on January 18, 1964. They later welcomed their daughters, Kathy Ann (Wade) Tiller (three years after marriage) and Tammy Renee (Wade) Lowery (five years after marriage).
Margaret was a spitfire in her younger years, as she got older; she became a better person, who was set in her ways. She liked things done a certain way and had a specific routine. The thing she cherished the most was family. She was very proud of the accomplishments each of her children and her family achieved. When given the opportunity, Margaret would tell anyone who would listen to her about her growing family.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Amelia and Jacob Zickuhr; her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Robert Garrett; niece, Lisa Fry; and great-grandson, Keeston Cadena.
She is survived by her brother, Roy Zickuhr; children, Kathy Tiller and husband Terry, Tammy Lowery and husband Steve; grandchildren, Kristal Cadena and husband Chris, Terry (TJ) Tiller and wife Keri, Kristan Weezner-Malo and husband Eric, Steven Lowery and wife Michelle, and Heather Lowery; great-grandchildren, Trenton Cadena, Leighton Cadena, Kyle Tiller, Savannah Tiller, Rylee Tiller, Cooper Tiller; nephews, Jeffrey Adams and Colin Fry; great-niece and great-nephew, Seth Fry and Madelyn Fry.
