Mrs. Maxine Thenhaus, 86, of Anderson, passed away Tuesday, June 22 at her residence. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Friday, June 25 at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Navasota with Orlen Howell officiating. An additional service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, IA with interment to follow in Cedar Park Memorial Cemetery.
Maxine was born in Cedar Rapids, IA on September 28, 1923, to Clarence & Lorena Bell (Haynes) Van Alst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce A. Thenhaus; 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Brooks-Evans of Anderson; and grandchildren, Jessica Marie Brooks and Justin Matthew Brooks, also of Anderson.
