Wayne was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1955, in Navasota, Texas to John Paul Merdian and Annie Katherine Turner Merdian. Wayne knew the value of hard and honest work from early childhood. He was a construction painter for years and enjoyed the many projects he was entrusted to create the perfect office and or home environment. He married his wife Linda in 1984 and was married several years.
Wayne was an avid animal lover and his little petting zoo was evident of his character. He had a deep love for children. He dabbled in many handyman projects around his home or helping out family and friends. When he was ready to relax some he and Linda would sit and watch old western and war movies. There was always high energy around his home during football season while he supported both his Texas A&M Aggies and his Texas teams. Wayne truly liked his Classical Rock music and deep love of the Rolling Stones.
His parents and wife, Linda, all precede him in death.
Wayne is survived by his sister Brenda Vezorak; his beloved nieces, Julie Vezorak and Jill Vezorak; his great nieces Cortney Alfaro and Bylee Barnett; and great nephew, Makoy Barnett; his close friend whom he considered as a brother, Robert "RED" E. Ducham.
