In Loving Memory of
Paula García Walker
November 1, 1945 – April 14, 2025

Paula García Walker was born on November 1, 1945, in General Cepeda, Coahuila, Mexico. She entered the world as part of a set of triplets and, with remarkable strength, was the only one to survive.

She was the beloved daughter of Rogelio García Santos† and María de la Luz Reyna Rivas†, and grew up surrounded by her siblings: Yolanda†, Lilia, María de la Luz†, Rogelio†, Juan Antonio†, María Guadalupe, and Roberto.

She emigrated to the United States in 1970, and in 1977, she met Lloyd Walker, a World War II veteran who would become her husband the following year. In two years later, they welcomed their greatest joy: a son, Franklin Lloyd Walker.

In 1983, they moved to Iola, Texas, where Paula would go on to build not only life but also lasting friendships. Among them was Rosa, who became her closest friend and confidante, offering unwavering support throughout the years.

In 1998, their son Frankie passed away after a battle with leukemia. Just a few years later, in 2002, Paula lost her husband Lloyd. Though these losses were deeply painful, Paula faced them with quiet strength and grace.

In an effort to support her, Robert Walker—Lloyd’s son—moved in with Paula. Together, they opened a small store-restaurant, which they managed side by side with care and commitment. Sadly, overtime, Robert fell ill and eventually passed away. Paula made the decision to sell the business, and a few years later, in 2018, it closed down marking the end of a meaningful chapter in her life.

In the years that followed, Paula turned to what had always brought her comfort, baking. She poured her heart into making desserts from scratch, a passion that had long brought her peace and purpose. She deeply enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, cooking and baking from home

On April 14, 2025, Paula was gently called home by the Lord. She is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her sister María Guadalupe and her brother-in-law Juan Manuel, her nieces, nephews and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Celebration of Life Service was held at 1 pm, Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Enon Missionary Baptist Church, 23164 FM 244, Iola, Tx. Cremation services are in the care of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
