Sharon was born in Houston, TX to Marvin and Eleanor Berger on May 20, 1957. She married Walter Mikeska on October 23, 2000. She retired from her career in the oil industry in 2016 to be a full-time, hands-on grandma and spend more time with her grandchildren. Sharon was very passionate about her family and close friends and her Bassett hound Fannie Mae. She loved being on the farm with her family and spending time together making memories.
She is survived by her daughters, Lauren Motal and Lacey Dunn; son-in-law, Christopher Motal; grandchildren, Gunner Motal and Everly Motal; sisters, Debra Drushel and Katherine Beeman; nieces, Bethany and Jennifer Drushel; nephew, Samuel Beeman; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Eleanor Berger; and husband, Walter Mikeska.
Sharon’s daughters will miss her deeply and all the things they enjoyed doing together like hot tub time with drinks, shopping, pedicures, baking cookies, and watching hallmark movies. Sharon was a fun outgoing person who made people feel welcome and loved and she accepted people for who they were. She made friends everywhere she went, feeling comfortable making conversations with strangers. Some of her best qualities were the ability to love unconditionally and her kindness and thoughtfulness to her friends and family. We will all greatly miss Sharon, with her amazing laugh and beautiful soul. Though she is gone, the love she gave us and the lessons she taught will stay with us forever. We are truly grateful for the privilege of having shared this life with you. Rest in the hearts and minds of all those who loved you.
Serving as pallbearers is Christopher Motal, Jason Pritchard, Matthew Gratt, Samuel Beeman, Marcus Faske, Julio Rodriguez, and Nick Syzcek.
