Zuki Orozco, 70, of Navasota, passed away suddenly while on vacation on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, while in Brownsville, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30 am, Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, celebrated by Father David Michael Moses. Zuki was born to his parents, Jesus José and Luz Rosales Casavantez Orozco, on Saturday, July 14, 1956, in Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of 16 he met Olivia Jacques and was married two years later in Chihuahua. Within one month they immigrated to the United States with his brother and wife to start their life and begin a family. In 1975 they had their first daughter, Olivia, and 1982 they had their second, Leticia.
Socorro was a hard worker and spent 20 years working at a tree farm and ultimately decided to build a business of his own. He started Navasota Landscape with the experience he had gained and a lot of discipline and determination. The business grew into a successful, reliable name that all of Navasota knew and loved. When his marriage ended, he continued to work tirelessly towards his goals and spent his free time traveling and spending time with friends and family.
At any given time he could be found sneaking off to a casino or mudding with his nephews. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Ruidoso or any place where he could ski the slopes. He loved hosting get togethers at his home and even built a pool just so that his friends and family could enjoy. He was selfless and kind. He was loving and genuine. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and uncle. He was a man who everyone loved, respected and admired.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus José and Luz Rosales Orozco.
He is survived by his daughters and families, Olivia and Francisco Aguiñaga, and Leticia and Hector Piña; grandchildren, Olivia G, Sofia, Emma, and Nicholas, his siblings, mother of his daughters, Olivia Orozco, nieces and nephews.
Serving as Pallbearers are Hector Piña, Francisco Aguiñaga, Mario Castillo, Rafael Orozco, Daniel Castillo, and Elias Orozco.
