Our beloved 'Ma'...-
Wanda Louise Wilson Byers, 95, of Navasota, TX went to her final resting place on April 9, 2026, while at home surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Nobles Funeral Chapel from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Larrabee officiating.
Wanda was born March 24, 1931, in Konawa, OK and grew up in Francis, OK. Wanda was a natural-born matriarch. She could be found baking her 'world famous' chocolate chip cookies every holiday, working her 'green-thumb' in the garden, or making new members of the family a stocking for Christmas. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church, where she taught small children's Sunday school; her caregiving personality evident in how each child lit up in her presence.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Glen Byers, her son Barry Byers, her infant daughter Angela Faye Byers, her parents Bob and Vercie Wilson, her brothers C.E. Wilson and Bobby Wilson, and two sisters Opal Martin and Dorothy Faye Wilson.
Left to cherish Wanda's memories are her children, Frieda and Curtis Frazier, Debra and Terry Balthrop, Lisa Sanchez; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren will remember her lovingly; her brother, Lendel Wilson and his wife Lee Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Byers, Timothy Byers, Gabriel Sanchez, Bryan Balthrop, Dominic Sarnello, and Cameron Byers.
